Support the Library

How You Can Help

Donations are critical to creating and sustaining exceptional libraries. While tax dollars keep the doors open and books on the shelves, private gifts help to support special programs and services that open new perspectives that enrich our lives. You can make a difference starting right now! Donations can be made in a several ways for a variety of purposes.

  • Donate to the Endowment Fund - This fund is held in perpetuity by the city with growth and interest being used to support the Lewiston Public Library (LPL). Donations of any size are gratefully accepted; donations of $1,000 or more allow the donor to name the special fund and to direct the use of those resources. For more information, contact the director’s office at 207-513-3132.
  • Donate to the Memorial Book Fund - Your donation will put a new book into the library’s collection in memory or in honor of a loved one.
  • Join the Friends of LPL - This local nonprofit organization helps to support library programs and resources.
